Well Within Retreats

Wellness begins Within

Some people arrive at their life's work in a straight line. I arrived at mine by listening to my body when it stopped cooperating.

For years I worked as a pilates and yoga instructor — helping people move better, feel stronger, rebuild confidence in bodies that had let them down. I loved that work. I still do. But I kept noticing a gap. The people coming to me weren't just stiff or weak. They were exhausted. Inflamed. Hormonally all over the place. Struggling with digestion, with sleep, with the kind of fatigue that a good night's rest doesn't touch. And they'd been told, over and over, that this was just how it was.

I started asking the same questions about my own health.

That curiosity led me to the Institute of Health, and into the world of integrative functional nutrition — a place where the body is treated as a whole system, not a collection of symptoms to be managed. The more I learned, the more I understood: so much of what we accept as normal isn't. The gut issues, the hormonal chaos, the inflammation — it's the body asking for something different. And when you give it what it needs, it knows how to heal.

The Well Within was born from that understanding. And it was built, quite literally, with love.

David — my partner, and one of the most considered chefs I've ever known — shares this belief that food is not just fuel. It's information. It's medicine. It's one of the most powerful tools we have for healing, and one of the most overlooked. When we started talking about what a retreat could look like if it brought together real health education and genuinely extraordinary food — not just "healthy eating" but meals that are as nourishing as they are beautiful — we couldn't stop.

So we built it.

The Well Within is what happens when two people who love each other, and love what they do, decide to stop waiting and just create the thing they wish had existed when they needed it most.

We're not here to tell you what's wrong with you. We're here to give you the understanding, the tools, and the experience of what it feels like when your body is actually supported — so you can take that home and keep going.

That's the whole point. That's always been the point.

Cedar Springs | Kiama

Spend four nourishing days on the South Coast in an intimate group of just 10 guests, where space, stillness, and restoration are at the centre of the experience.

Set within luxury accommodation and surrounded by nature, this retreat is designed to gently guide your system out of stress and into regulation and proper digestion.

Each day includes thoughtfully sequenced yoga, Pilates, and functional movement sessions to support strength, mobility, and nervous system balance, alongside chef-prepared, nutrient-dense meals designed to deeply nurture the gut, nourish the body and support digestive and metabolic health.

The program also includes guided meditation, sound bath immersion, and ceremonial practices to support emotional release, grounding, and reconnection. These experiences are intentionally curated to help quiet the mind and restore internal clarity.

With access to the pool, ice bath, sauna, and tennis court, there is also ample space for rest, integration, and unstructured time—an essential part of any true reset.

This retreat is designed to support you in stepping out of chronic activation and into a more regulated, calm, and connected state—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

You leave feeling clearer, lighter, and more restored in your system, with a renewed sense of balance that carries back into everyday life.

What To Expect

  • A salad with chopped cucumbers, radishes, white beans, pomegranate seeds, and shredded black seaweed, served in a tan bowl on a wooden surface, with assorted sliced bread in the background.

Nutritionally dense, whole food meals that do not leave you hungry.

All meals are prepared by our in-house chef, with a focus on nutrient-dense, whole food cuisine designed to support digestion, energy, and overall wellbeing throughout the retreat.

Guests are consistently surprised by the depth of flavour, creativity, and satisfaction in each meal. This is a clear demonstration that healthy eating does not need to be restrictive, bland, or complicated—in fact, when well-designed, it can be deeply enjoyable and naturally satisfying.

Each dish is intentionally crafted to nourish the body while supporting stable energy, reduced inflammation, and sustained fullness, helping you feel both well-fed and well-supported across the entire retreat experience.

“I have never tasted food like that! Incredible! “ - Anne R.

  • A woman practicing yoga in a bright, airy room with large windows and white curtains. She is standing on one leg in a tree pose, with her hands in a prayer position above her head. The room has yoga mats and bolsters on the floor.

Daily Yoga, Qi Gong, Pilates classes.

Mornings begin with gentle, intentional movement designed to support circulation, awaken the body, and stimulate lymphatic flow to assist the body’s natural detoxification processes. This practice also helps regulate the nervous system, promoting a grounded and balanced start to the day.

Throughout the day, additional movement and wellbeing sessions are offered, allowing guests to engage at a level that feels appropriate for their body and energy. Participation is entirely self-directed, with the option to rest, integrate, or join as many sessions as desired.

While the schedule is designed with flexibility in mind, most guests naturally find themselves drawn to participate more fully than expected, as the combination of practices, environment, and support often creates a strong sense of ease, curiosity, and enjoyment.

“What a gorgeous way to start the day!” Kyril A.

  • Sunset view over a rural landscape with trees, a distant horizon, and a pool with poolside lounge chairs in the foreground.

    Chill Time.

Afternoons are intentionally unstructured to support deep rest, integration, and nervous system recovery. Guests are invited to unwind in the sauna or pool, receive optional treatments, enjoy nourishing mocktails by the fire, or simply relax and take in the peaceful surroundings as another thoughtfully prepared meal comes together.

This slower pace is an essential part of the retreat process, allowing the body to shift out of stimulation and into true restoration.

Evenings are gently closed with restorative practices such as sound healing, guided meditation, or relaxation sessions designed to support down-regulation of the nervous system and prepare the body for deep, restorative sleep.

A return to stillness. A return to self.

“Omg I just can’t believe how relaxed I already am!” - Monique N.
